LIGHTFORCE CLASS IV LASER THERAPY
Bayside Spine & Performance uses LightForce Class IV Laser Therapy to deliver therapeutic laser energy to targeted musculoskeletal tissues.
Laser therapy uses specific wavelengths of light to produce photobiomodulation - the interaction of light energy with biological tissue. It is used in sports medicine, rehabilitation, and musculoskeletal care as a non-invasive treatment option.
WHAT IS PHOTOBIOMODULATION?
When therapeutic wavelengths of light reach tissue, photons can be absorbed by cellular components and influence biological processes associated with cellular metabolism and signaling.
This interaction is known as photobiomodulation.
Rather than simply producing heat, therapeutic laser treatment is designed to deliver an appropriate dose of light energy to the targeted tissue.
WHY CLASS IV LASER?
Laser devices vary considerably in power and how treatment energy is delivered.
The higher output available with a Class IV therapeutic laser allows an appropriate treatment dose to be delivered efficiently across larger treatment areas and to musculoskeletal structures at varying depths.
Our LightForce system allows treatment parameters to be adjusted according to the area being treated, tissue characteristics, condition, and clinical objective.

WHAT DOES LIGHTFORCE LASER FEEL LIKE?

Treatment is non-invasive and typically comfortable.
The treatment head is moved across the targeted area while laser energy is delivered. Most patients experience a mild, soothing warming sensation.
There are no needles or incisions, and treatment sessions are generally brief.
We don't rely on technology alone.
LightForce laser may be combined with chiropractic treatment, manual therapy, mobility work, therapeutic exercise, or other treatment methods when appropriate.
