Mild Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (mHBOT) involves breathing supplemental oxygen inside a pressurized chamber.
Increasing atmospheric pressure allows more oxygen to dissolve into the plasma and increases oxygen availability within the body during the treatment session.

HOW DOES mHBOT WORK?
Normally, oxygen is transported primarily by hemoglobin within red blood cells.
Under hyperbaric conditions, increased atmospheric pressure allows additional oxygen to dissolve directly into the plasma and other body fluids.
This produces higher oxygen concentrations during treatment than can be achieved under normal atmospheric conditions.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING A SESSION?
You'll relax inside the chamber as it gradually pressurizes.
The biggest sensation occurs during changes in pressure.
Similar to taking off and landing in an airplane, you may notice pressure in your ears and will be shown how to equalize them.
Once treatment pressure is reached, most patients simply relax for the remainder of their session.
